Having lost members of my nuclear family, I’m naturally nervous in crowds, I manage my own risk and now don’t worry about anyone else, it’s their choice not to be careful We all know Covid kills, Lord knows I’ve experienced loss from this virus first hand

Your afraid of upsetting your husband, your son and your sons girlfriend …. as you have posted here, you’re also becoming quite concerned over the situation
I’d sit your son down for a heart to heart and explain your concerns and point out some house rules, discussed with your husband beforehand and mutually agreed. After all, it’s YOUR house and you’re entitled to run it as you wish. The girlfriend obviously feels at home and been brought up differently. If your son takes offence I’m sure the option of alternative accommodation can be mentioned.
Boundaries can be set at any time given you are the mistress of your own house ….

Hi, not that I’m aware of but if you nominate a book, I’d be happy to discuss next month. My taste in books is normally fiction, my go-to suggestions come from Richard and Judy Book Club, Radio 2 suggestions and The Good Housekeeping Book Club.
Currently reading The 100 years of Lenin and Margot. Just finished American Dirt and my favourite read of 2021 was Perfume by Patrick Suskind – a modern classic. Which genre do you enjoy?

I find I’m the same with Matt Haig, great concept but I find he tends to lose steam half way through – or maybe bad editing?? I can never finish his books, despite his popularity

The longer I am single the more selfish I become, I can’t imagine sharing my life with anyone anymore
