I am Deaf but grew up hearing, I lost my hearing overnight in a traumatic way at 46 after a stint in ICU with pneumonia and sepsis. I was a Care Manager when I worked. I miss my working life and all that entailed and I am finding it difficult at 56 to find my place in life. I am interested in history and archaeology, geology, science and I am an avid reader. I have 2 grown up children who both have careers and young children. Lonely but don't want to be any more!
