Whereabouts in Ayrshire are you from, I lived in Irvine before coming to Oxfordshire, I’m now in Worcestershire.
Loch Fyne is a beautiful area. Do you do these retreats each year? Would possibly be interested in some time next year.
Hope all goes well x -

Hi Christine, yes its really hard when you are the one to make first contact everytime. Problem is with covid everyone is acting differently. Did you have to make first contact before lockdown etc? Maybe wait till things are more normal and see if anyone suggests a get together.
In the long term I would let people go if they are not adding to your life but its difficult to figure that out atm when things are not back to normal. You need friendships that are two way streets.
Hope you get from friendships what you deserve. -

Hi Lisa, great that you have joined this group. Everyone friendly and you get replies to whatever you post so its nice to think someone is listening to you. I live in Worcestershire, if you are near by could meet for a coffee or a facetime coffee. Take good care of yourself x

Yes we watch it, but do feel for them, mostly it’s trauma in their lives that have made them turn to food. Easy to eat for comfort but some people just can’t stop, such a hard thing to overcome.

Hi Lucy, I had about 3 injections in my knee due to osteoarthritis. The first did not hurt and helped a lot. The second and third injections did hurt but certainly not unbearable, different person did it in a different way. They did not last very long and then covid came and I have not had any since. My knee has deteriorated too much now for them to help.
I do think they are worth trying but if it is for your knees do follow the advice to not do too much for the first couple of weeks to let the injection take affect.
Good luck, hope you get some relief. -

Hi Valerie, that’s a coincidence that you were in the area a couple of weeks ago. My husband and I went to Topsham in Devon at the end of April, my friend has her mother’s house there so we used it as a self catering holiday which was allowed at the time. Devon is such a lovely county.
Hope you are having a good day and keeping busy. I went for a very gently nordic walk today. My knee is very arthritic so it has to be short and gentle the walks but lovely to get out and talk to new people.
take care x -

Hope you have family and friends Valerie to help you through this, but again if you are near and want a coffee I’d be happy to meet up. I’m in Worcestershire, hope you have a good day and things get easier soon. x

Sounds great and I too was born in Glasgow, moved to Irvine when I was 8. My friend, whom I have known since school is still there so we do go and visit. Largs is just along the coastline. I was born in Maryhill area. So strange we have the sort of same background. Yes Worcestershire is lovely. Great news about retreats for next year, looking forward to it. Stay safe x

Hi Pam, nice to hear from you, sorry about delay in replying. No I have never used the pool in Pershore but I was going to try it as there are aqua aerobic classes on. Since covid I have not even thought about going to a pool. Like you sore joints so swimming is a really lovely thing to do.
I have not heard of the Millers Arms for folk music nights, I would be interested in that when we get let loose again.
A coffee would be great, goodness knows when but we will def meet up in the future.
Thanks for replying Pam, speak soon.
