I absolutely love a Salty Dog, very refreshing.

My very first flight was on a military Puma helicopter and I was sat in the middle of the outward facing bench seat, opposite the sliding door(which remained open ) and I had the thrill of my life as it took off and banked to the right and I was virtually staring at the ground ! What a thrill ! We never landed, we disembarked 10-15 feet from the ground and trained at killing people and escape and evasion (all a great exercise for a week ) Miss it.

How about building a den in a field(not a playing field) and then playing war, with one side attacking the den and the others defending. We had a corrugated tin roof covered in foliage to hide it. We used to slide down the coal slag heaps near our local colliery (Agecroft) on pieces of lino !
We once did this on an upside down car roof, now that was fun. Oh, to be back there again with no adult worries eh ?

I’m exactly the same with moths ! Hate them, not the tiny ones, just the ones that look big enough to pick up a small dog and fly off with it ! Don’t mind spiders, wouldn’t touch one ! but don’t mind.

How about ‘syrupy’ ?

You ought to try the relaxing sensory deprivation orbs that you rent for an hour. Lying in body temperature water, naked, not touching anything , no lights, nothing. If you wear anything it will distract your mind to feeling that pressure, that’s why being naked works. They are brilliant at relaxing your whole mind and body.

Why do you think Argentinian gauchos used them !
