A good night’s sleep and a purpose, whether work, family, leisure related, then achieving what you’d hoped to.

Sound pretty perfect. When there is lots happening it’s easy to let the sleep get interrupted. If I think about what I want to achieve at the beginning of the day and look back at this at the end of the day it help focus to be on what I’m hoping for

You are both terrible!! You’d never find me hankering after breakfast with Dwayne Johnson ( The rock);
Lunch with Tom Ellis, Dinner with Jason Manford or a nightcap with Ross Edgley 🤥

Every day for me! Enjoy life as she comes, fantasy not required.

Aww that’s so nice Aman; enjoyment can be found every day if you try just a little.
I’ll go with that.
-
Deleted User 27th July 2021 at 7:10 pm
Thank you min! Not every day is pure pleasure, but even if you are having a tooth out or receiving a speeding ticket you can enjoy the pleasure of breathing (the simplest meditation), and one hopes, more! Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy.

Visit to local market followed by lunch with my friend.

Sit in my rose-laden garden with my dog. Eat a light delicious lunch that includes hearts of palm. phone calls from my adult children and grandchildren. After a revivifying cup of coffee, my dog and I shall walk to the beach and feel the sand beneath our feet. A visit from a laughter generating friend, followed by a relaxed dinner with wine like liquid gold rounded off with a generous glass of Lagavulin. Classical music, including ‘Romance’ by Shostakovich will have featured before I drift off to sleep.

It sounds delightful Moya. The only bit missing is the afternoon tea and cream scones

Bimbling about an interesting city, like Porto, stopping for lunch and generally mooching about and chatting with friends
-
Deleted User 29th July 2021 at 11:07 pm
That sounds lovely Ed on toast. Having never been to Porto, what makes it so interesting?
-
Scubascull 1st August 2021 at 11:26 am
I’ve been to Porto several times over the last 15 years. It is a lovely city with interesting architecture, helpful inhabitants, the river Douro, boat trips, port warehouses and long sandy beaches. Recommended.

Everyone has their own idea of a perfect day, for me each day I wake up is perfect. No telling what it will bring but always includes facetime with my son, d-in-l and 2 grandchildren, a call from my daughter, and sometimes a shopping trip with lunch out. Calls or visits with friends. Working through a list of ‘to do’ jobs around the house and garden give me great satisfaction even if I don’t always finish it. Don’t know about my glass being half full, just grateful i have a glass!
