Excellent workmanship. I bet your kids loved them.
I was told at the stand that the originals are worth a fortune these days. -
Will998 14th November 2021 at 5:43 pm
Who can guess what I used to build them with…. 🤣
-
Will998 14th November 2021 at 5:59 pm
Hardboard Gerard.
But what about the non timber components? 😁 -
Robert K 14th November 2021 at 6:02 pm
I think they are a work of genius!
I’m thinking egg whisks and plungers were involved.
-
Will998 14th November 2021 at 6:09 pm
That’s two correct Robert…
Three more left lol 🤪 -
Will998 14th November 2021 at 6:18 pm
Actually, I’ve just noticed another… so three left still lol
-
Mo001 14th November 2021 at 6:37 pm
Baco foil & plastic balls!!
Will, where did you go in your amazing tardis????
-
Will998 14th November 2021 at 6:53 pm
Well done Mo..
Ball pit balls split in half
No baco foil though! Two items left!
I went back to 1962 and re-lived my life, trying to not repeat the same mistakes.
I did it four times, but each time, I just made different mistakes and now I’m 240 years old 🤣🤣🤣 -

Game on Robert 😉, to guess the remaining 2 materials 🤔🤔🤔
-
Mo001 14th November 2021 at 9:46 pm
I think the remaining 2 items are going to remain a mystery. All I can think is spray paint and rubber 🤔🤔
-
Will998 14th November 2021 at 10:02 pm
Mo001… yes to spray paint.
But where is the rubber?Robert K has guessed the plunger if that’s what you meant? 😃
-
Mo001 14th November 2021 at 10:07 pm
The black square cut outs at the top, I thought might be rubber 😊
-
Will998 14th November 2021 at 10:14 pm
Nearly Mo001
Its actually black ground matting for below gravel or bark chippings. My former, now late father in law had a market garden business 😊 -
Will998 14th November 2021 at 10:18 pm
One item left both of you.
It joins the wooden base to the laundry basket lol
🤣🤣 -
Mo001 15th November 2021 at 5:04 pm
Will, put us out our misery and let us know the missing part???? As I’m sure Gerard & Robert will want to get cracking making one at the w/e??? 😉
-
Will998 15th November 2021 at 5:19 pm
One last try Mo.
I think you know
So, give it a go 😀😀 -
Will998 15th November 2021 at 5:35 pm
Yay…
Well done Mo!!
Podium top step for you!!!It certainly is. The top half of a common black dustbin cut in half and used upside down
In fact, it was the diameter of the bin that set the dimensions for everything else 😁😁
-
Robert K 15th November 2021 at 5:45 pm
Mo is like a goal hanger, comes in at the last minute stealing the glory. I did actually think it was a upturned plastic garden composted, but that seemed unlikely. Always the runner-up.
Livid I tell you – buy I mustn’t keep on about it. -
Will998 15th November 2021 at 5:49 pm
Haha Robert…
Just dust yourself down and be ready for her next time 🤣🤣

That looks a lot less arduous than propelling it with your feet! I can see it’s a classic era Dalek, but which one?? The skirt appears unpainted at the moment – is it in the process of construction?

It’s a cracking build. Original Dead Planet design I think? They had the saucer discs on the back in Dalek Invasion of Earth, and had changed to slats in the middle by 1965’s The Chase. I imagine that’s a lot more comfortable than the 1963 original! Is it yours?

Gerard371 14th November 2021 at 5:48 pm
Sorry maybe my post was misleading, no I don’t own one, I was at comic con at the NEC today and they were at one of the stands.
-
Colin in Kent 14th November 2021 at 5:58 pm
Looks like his operator had scarpered! Was it a large event?
-
Gerard371 14th November 2021 at 6:09 pm
Very crowded, the event sold out on both days, which is good because then they will continue to stage them.
-
Colin in Kent 15th November 2021 at 7:57 am
Good to see people getting into the spirit of things again.

Gerard, what comic character did you go as??? It sounds a lot of fun 😊
-
Gerard371 14th November 2021 at 6:44 pm
I went as Grumpy Git, so no dressing up needed. But it was great to see so many people dressed up. Here’s one or two.
-
Mo001 14th November 2021 at 7:03 pm
They’re looking mega 😎. There’s always next year Gerard. We’ll be looking out for you in full comic costume, no more Victor Meldrew 😊😊😊
