Thank you for your reply. You live and learn , I would never have guessed that! The more I hear, the more I get frustrated at not knowing the first thing about IT in general. But I am not the ‘giving up lightly’ type, so one day I shall crack it!( who am I kidding?)
        Best regards, Linde

        Hi Chris,
        Just joined them very recently.
They stopped taking on new clients for about a year or so,
        due to unprecedented demand!
People were put on a “waiting list”, my “number” just came up recently, they notified me and I joined up!
Seems a pretty interesting platform to be honest!
How are you getting on with it?
        Best Regards.

Hiya, ok still learning, on a vertical learning curve lol but down about 18% over last 18 months and reading up and playing with dividend investing now, got burnt a big an USA markets just having punts but learnt my lesson 🙂
          There’s a lot to 212 I stick on investments atm and it’s cheap 🙂
Friend of mine rates etoro but not looked hot enough to learn where I am lol
          Regards
          Chris

          Good to hear from you!
Sorry to hear that you are down 18%, we all have our ups and downs in the market!
I do NOT touch USA, for various reasons, I also do not touch “CFD’s”, just on the boring “Invest” side of Trading212.com!
Also, I find sticking to shares well under “1000p” and also sticking to FTSE100 stocks (ONLY), helps control risk !
Finally, I do not go anywhere near Cryptos!
Looked at Etoro for a while, but not my “cup of tea”,
the platform is too clumsy/complicated for my liking!
I am very happy with Trading212.com
          Keep in touch!
Great to hear from someone on the same platform (212.com) as me!
          Regards.
          Seth

Hiya, key is play with money you can afford to leave in shares for a while, couple years at least my theory and my game now is dividend investing 🙂 phone pings weekly with payments albeit done are minimal 🙂

Good luck with the dividend payment. Fortune & freedom advise to buy shares in dividend paying companies.

Hi! Regarding Trendsignals, I’ve been keen on them for a couple of years! However, after doing a MASSIVE amount of research, etc., I have decided not to join them. Some of the feedback/testimonials don’t add up, as far as I can see, what with the huge cost of the software, not worth the risk in my opinion, so I’ve dropped the idea! Would be interesting to hear from somebody whose actually joined?!

Guessing this is more than traders than investors?

Not a big fan of some of these type of platforms and tips.

For trading, best to learn how the markets work, have the time to sit in front of screens each day and have live access to markets

May try it one day when retired but only with money I could afford to lose

Personally I prefer investing, not an ideal time right now the way the world is

        Hi,

I completely understand where you are coming from!

I myself prefer investing rather than trading!

I tell you what, why don’t you try a “DEMO investing account?”

        Most brokers provide these!

It works PRECISELY the same as a “live” account!

BUT, there is no money involved, these accounts give you “virtual money” to play with!

You can carry on with your day job, and dabble away in your free time, for FREE!

        Regards

Although not a good time to buy hopefully it soon will be when the markets stop falling . Then there should be bargains

Just bought into BT on Friday, 5 August, @ 160 p.
          And Vodafone as well, @ 121 p.
          See how I get on?!
Both stocks are Ftse 100 as you know, the charts indicate it’s time to MOP some up, in my opinion, that is!
          Wish me luck?!

You did well, they’ve been falling quite regularly past 10-12 days!
I hope they don’t fall any more?
          Haa Haa!
