No one cares sadly…and it seems to be getting worse.

A great many people care, there is a wealth of support out there you just need to access it. Ask you local council to give you the contact for all agencies in your area for carers. There are carers support centres all over the country. Register as a carer with your GP for extra attention. Register as a carer with your council. Ask for and complete a carer’s assessment form. Of course all these agencies are struggling, but they ARE there and they DO care

Thanks Artemis. I am not a carer now, but I’m afraid my experiences of this so called help you speak of was virtually impossible and I can only speak from my experience. If you don’t get real GP support, you don’t get social services fully on board. So on and so on. I am pleased your experiences are better than mine were. Thank you for your reply.
