I’ve recently read this to review. First it is non-fiction. The subject matter is the history of racial tension in the U.S., through to the present day. If you have an interest in political science/social policy, it falls into that sort of category. In respect of the book itself, I found there was a lot of repetition of some of the main points the author seeks to make, which detracts from it a little in that it makes it feel a bit ‘shouty’. However, she positions her argument clearly, and whatever your personal view, there is a lot of food for thought in it.
