      Hi Kiplin,

please do have a look at our money section here https://restless.co.uk/money/ where you should be able to find very useful information about all of those topics.

      Hope that helps.

Here’s an idea. IF you’ve enough cash from the house sale buy yourself a full residential Park Home. Compact space therefore low running costs, discount for your council tax if your on your own. Plus many sites have Security , site facilities and there is nearly always an abundance of community spirit
It’s not for everyone , but I would not be saddling myself with a mortgage .
Find a cosy little place ,in an area you love , and live a little!!!

Thanks for your questions. There are options for those in their 50s or 60s hoping to get a mortgage. These articles might provide you with some useful info: https://restless.co.uk/money/mortgages-and-property/mortgages-if-youre-over-50-what-you-need-to-know/ and https://restless.co.uk/money/mortgages-and-property/how-retirement-interest-only-mortgages-work/

Yes you can get a mortgage at almost any age. A friend recently looked into it, I think it was Nationwide but no doubt there are others too.
