That’s a very good and very difficult question Mo, difficult because most of us have been brought up to be modest so posting a compliment about ourselves on here feels slightly uncomfortable and also we all remember the bad stuff and insults but tend to forget or overlook any compliments! I notice you haven’t given an example 😉…

Very true Lin 🙂
It seemed like a good idea for a question, but your right people might not be comfortable to answer.

Tough one
I do remember an insult from last year though. Some little gob shite says ‘hi baldy’ to me in front of his mates. (Little fker)
I returned the compliment by saying that’s not what your mum calls me
At which point he then threatens to do various things to me all from the safety of ten feet away:)

You have a great memory Tambos 🙂
I bet you didn’t get bothered again by them.

I’ve been told I have a nice smile and kind eyes.
I’ll take that😊
Probably better than being told I have a sexy bod… 🤣🤣How about you Mo? 🤔

Mo001 3rd June 2022 at 9:09 am
The one and only compliment from my ex that I had a nice laugh.
I’ll take that 🙂
A friend of mine is seeing a mental health specialist.
That was one of the questions she got asked as it puts positive thoughts into our heads, rather than holding onto negative.-

One compliment?? I’m sure you’ve had more mo – you’re too modest 😏

Learning to accept a compliment is a skill but one we should all master as there is nothing nicer than someone noticing something positive about you
I once heard my husband say to my grandson, during a conversation about all the reasons why women are to be avoided, if you do have to have a woman in your life make sure you pick one who is like your Nan as she is a good cook and pretty to look at 😂🤣

Your right. That’s what my friend is being told to embrace.
That’s lovely compliments Always 😊

I’ve been told I’m a ‘fair’ minded person, in many work based reviews in a complimentary format.
May be the reason I’m not overly ambitious? 🤔

I have no problem with answering this question and I consider myself modest 😊
Someone once said to me….. ‘You know, I think your the nicest, kindest person I’ve ever met.’…..
More recently my boss said to me….. ‘I knew I’d get an honest opinion from you.’A work colleague said to me, sometimes you get on my nerves, to which I answered, I know, sometimes I get on my own nerves!
There is good and bad in everyone 😉

Bumped into the receptionist from a previous job and her friend. She described me as a true gentleman. Was quite chuffed.

adeliza0165 4th June 2022 at 8:59 am
Thats a real compliment – there’s not many gentlemen around these days 😏

I tend to give more than I get. I think my last compliment was from my neighbour he walked past me in the street and I said hello to which he replied looking good today Chris. Just a shame he’s blind!

‘I always feel more intelligent after reading your work’.
‘Thanks …………… hang on a minute!’

People have mentioned my eyes, calmness (haha! little do they know!😏), and helpfulness, but the most touching words have come from my beautiful daughter and the lovely patients I work with, and when I think about the soul- destroying things that ex’s have said to me, i remind myself of these words… 💕

That is so lovely Adele
And it just proves that your exes didnt even know you.
Its one of the nicest things, to be appreciated and even better when people feel so strongly about it that they convey these feelings to you in writing

I was ask not so long ago by someone if I would like to meet up as we were in similar situations, well it took me completely by surprise, I hadn’t a clue what to say or do!
Anyway we have spent time together and had a fantastic enjoyable day, to be asked was a massive compliment, so now we are very good friend’s, this all came out of nothing, how could I be paid a bigger compliment than this? At the end of the day I’ve gained a wonderful, kind, loverly friend which I hope continues, I’m sure it will😉

I was recently described as being “committed” – surprisingly, the words “should be” were not in front of it!

I have been working on a project that involved training/coaching a group of people starting up businesses in New Zealand, which just ended a few days ago. All my coachees thanked me etc but one also said that there was an element of alchemy in my coaching, which I have taken as a huge compliment 😊.

In a gym three black women spoke to me after several weeks. One said ‘you’re dolng really well getting into shape but you still have a black woman’s bum’ I was dead chuffed. It was a real compliment.

All my working life I have worked with children and adults who either have a learning disability or a neuro condition.
1 guy with a learning disability used to tell his mates I was quite with it for an old bird!!!!
2 of my male patients with Huntingtons both told others I was very intelligent for a woman!!!
I reminded all 3 that my best feature was my sense of humour😂 which they should be very grateful for!!!!
