JJ Cale the inspiration for Mark Knopfler who lived in a squat in London and would spend all his time sat stoned on a landing in this big house listening to this guy and perfecting playing him and then… taking J J Cale out of it and making his own mark which he did spectacularly.
J J died a two maybe three years back not far off eighty.
