I’ve had mental health issues for 23 years now, clinical depression, but it’s difficult getting good help on the NHS. I’ve been prescribed a number of different drugs and eventually got prescribed Venlafaxine 300mg. Been on that now for 20 years.
In the beginning my constant thoughts were, please let me die, it was a very dark place. Thankfully I’ve got a handle on it these days but I know it’s just there bubbling away in the dark recesses of my mind and can break through into my consciousness when I’m feeling low. I can cope now but it does make life pretty painful at times.
