Not getting my hopes up. We don’t even have any kind of date down here in Wales . Going with the wait and see approach. I am fed up of it all but don’t want to be locked up for a fourth time. Would rather they get it right this time around.

It’s all going to depend on the stats people. Throwing dates around as Boris has chose to do is in my view just daft. What will be will be and if people start behaving like idiots then it’s going to fall apart long before June. Stay safe is our motto here and we are sticking to it.

I agree. It was novelty initially and I tried to make it a positive experience but I am sick to death of all the parks near me and the mud. I manage to get out with different friends for a walk but even so , I really miss just sitting having a coffee. I am not sure I miss shops (Internet has it all!) but I do love the quieter roads. This will change when all the mothers drag their children into their 4 x 4 lorries and hit the roads(I hate busy roads!) Then the same as things become more open. But I do feel so bad for the hospitality industry , about time they got some income

I made a case to go back into the office for 3 days a week may push it to 4 as i cannot stand working from home, i had to give a very good reason so much H&S form filling in as im one of only 4 from a large office workforce to go back in.
I hated being at home the constant noise from neighbours inane chatter, banging doors shouting kids screaming, arguing couples constant deliveries ringing on my doorbell and these Uber and Deliveroo bikes up and down the road all day.

Also my works constant Zoom and GoTo meetings sometimes unable to connect due to a overloaded system unable to hear what some people say missing crucial information and misunderstandings and communication breakdowns, also my energy bills have increased two fold and the slightest noise being made now is really irritating me and ive become so bad tempered now and it has really got me down, ive developed headaches and have had some terrible dental pain of late, and no social life people i knew have been falling out over silly telephone conversations. I miss the hum and bar throng off a Friday night up in London.

I’ve been working from home since March, go into the office couple of times a month for meetings but other than that I’m at home, thank God I have a dog otherwise I dont think i would leave the house at all.

But our HQ in America are very concerned about reopening the offices too early, so I’m probably at home for the foreseeable 😥

Fortunately my daughter is home from university so I do have company at home!

So agree. Have tried hard to stay positive. We moved house at the begining of June to a new area where we know nobody. It is much closer to the family but obviously that has not been a lot of use recently. With no pubs, restaurants or clubs open there has been no chance to get to know and socialise with anybody. Suprised my husband and I are still friends! Can’t wait to get out to meet people, but I am slightly worried about people just going mad from 29th March, we live in a holiday area and for some reason when people are on holiday they suddenly think that masks and social distancing don’t apply any more. Still I have to be grateful that I am surrounded by beautiful country and the sea and the beach are only 5 minutes walk away. Thank God for my dogs I think they have given me a reason to get up in the morning and go out .

Thats good for you, i wouldnt be able to have a chat with a dog. Arching over a laptop 5 days a week on your own is bad for you,at least back in the office you have the correct chair with desktop computers. I dread retirement im still in my 50s i just hope i can continue working as pottering around at home is so boring. However i miss my team as im mainly in a large office space alone now. I just have to put up with it i expect, wont be any bars and restaurants left when we open back up.

I am not sure about “roll on 21st June”, that is my birthday and I say farewell to my 50s on that day. It would be a nice birthday present though for the country to return to something like normal, whatever that will be 🙂

I will be so glad not to hear..can you hear me….is your microphone on..I have listened to that now for a year. Any normality of going back into work even for one day would be pure joy 😁
