The beauty of that elegant bird and its reflection is rather spoilt by the black background. But to each his own.

I completely disagree, If there was anything else in the picture especially in the background it would lead the eye away from the elegance of the bird….having just the Swan in the photo brings out the beauty of the bird and its reflection as that is all you can see,
