I love to paint in all sorts of media and like most of us 🙁 I have been stuck in for ages, so this is my first watercolour of 2021. It is of an old boat that seems to have been moored at Glasson Dock in Lancashire for years. I just love it, it has such an appeal for me that I couldn’t resist painting it. Hopefully I will be able to get out and about again soon, but it’s just too hot for me at the moment.

Hello Allyson, I lived in St Anne’s until I was 5, my mother ran a boarding House called ‘Laburnum House’ which I think was in Richmond Road. On Google maps I can see a couple of houses that might have been it but a lot has changed!
Edit: Found out what number we lived at – sadly a few houses were demolished and a block of flats put up! Shame as they were lovely Edwardian villas.

Very nice painting. I have visited Blackpool several times over the years, even dream of living there. I have never been to St Anne’s. This is a must for my next visit. Paul
