Found this on a walk a few days ago, near Otley. Seems unusual for fungi to be showing at this time of year. Dryad’s Saddle I believe.

      Glad you posted this – I too, have noticed various fungi earlier than normal. I didn’t know whether it really was earlier or just that I have the time now to look for it.
      Saw some Dryad’s saddles on the footpath to Matlock Bath – and on my morning constitutional over Cromford Moor, have seen various Russulas, and what we we though was a giant puffball but on closer inspection had gills underneath. Looked it up as a flowery blewit which are supposed to be good eating – however we decided to err on the side of caution, having recently seen a Midsomer Murders where they all die of mushroom poisoning!
