It will grow in sun or semi shade likes good fertile soil ,if you want to buy it you can buy it as bare roots ti plant end of March or as soon as soil warms up or buy plants in spring

Likes lot of sun .and to grow behind other plants you can grow from seed. In potting compost. When it dies of cut it right down
