      I would have said the sleek&sexy Toyota Supra mk2 I had – until I bought a Saab 9-3. A quirky Swede that I did 200k miles in.
Eventually it gave up the ghost so I now have an Audi A5 Quattro convertible which is a bit Teutonic – technically fine but a bit characterless.

I didn’t have it long… had a full tank of petrol and just had a full service…. bloody waste of money that was…. Anyways managed to find the same make and model but it’s charcoal rather than black.

No. 2019, on my way to work. Young lad pulled out of a junction in front of me. I hit his door, he bounced sideways and bashed his head. I backed my car back and managed to get him out. The car was full of smoke and his music was blasting… believe it or not I was only going 20mph, I couldn’t believe the damage to my car! He was dazed but ok… refused to go in the ambulance. His GF came and kept giving me daggers…. like it was my fault! Kids!

sorry, this made me laugh as i had a similar experience today, in the sense that people will hardly ever accept responsibility.I went to supermarket with teen son and we were filling the car with grocery bags. There was a space next to my car but obviously we were standing in it in order to pack food into car.A very impatient driver pulled into the space, my son jumped into a bush and the shopping trolley was completely mangled,as was the reg plate and light on the drivers car.The driver said it was my fault for not telepathically informing him there was a trolley there?

I’m probably the opposite of a Petrol head, much like life itself I go for comfort and reliability not speed and thrills these days.

I must be doing it backwards cheers… my first ever car was a Morris Minor, I went on to having sensible cars, mostly saloons, never liked convertibles or anything flashy, still don’t like anything flashy, it’s like wearing noise shoes, everyone looks lol.

I’m not very interested in cars but my late husband was when we lived in Germany he bought these Mr and Mrs cars so I had tough choice each day which one of these to drive… must admit I liked SLK if I went out with a girlfriend roof down headscarves on Thelma and Louise and with no speed limits on German autobahns it was a lot of fun….

Not really but my granddaughter wasn’t impressed that I couldn’t pop the boot open from inside and she needed to physically open it. 😳 I have a Mazda 2 from new and big enough for me and gets me to Scotland and back no probs but it’s 6 years old and apparently it’s “ancient” 🤣 her mum has a Mercedes with all sorts incl heated seats – I have a blanket on the back seat, practical 🤣🤣

Oooo nothing that needs plugging in for me thx. Couldn’t go far enough in one journey without having to waste time charging. Once I start a journey I only stop to dash to the loo or top up the petrol with no hanging about. Given the choice I would love a 4 wheel drive defo not a yummy mummy thing. Land Rover Defender would suit

My son’s classic Subaru Impreza – lovely car to drive, fantastic road holding. But better still, as a classic it’s going up in value, not depreciating!! Me, I’m stuck with a Skoda Fabia, lol.

Spot on! I had an Impreza WRX with the full Prodrive Performance Pack. Blue with gold wheels, of course! Will never forget driving it across “the Mountain” early one June morning on the way to catch the ferry back from the Isle of Man. Happy days.

My Fav car that I owned was my white Saab Convertible, had wanted one since I was about 18. Finally got it when I was mid 50’s.
I let it go last summer to a friend who will cherish it and it should go on for ever!
I could not have maintained it as it gets old.
Now have my first Mini Cooper S – never wanted a small car but this is fun, like a go kart.

My favourite car was not one I owned but my grandmothers lovely Humber Super Snipe. She said as she did not travel very far she would have comfort. She had a Humber Hawk as well so may be mixing them up but it was the most wonderful car. Quiet, with lovely leather upholstery and beautiful dashboard. It smelt beautifully of the leather too. The other one I enjoyed was owned by a friend of the family when I was about 10. He was definitely a petrol head and had a fantastic E type jag, and we used to go across the Yorkshire moors . Very flash and exciting and he was quite good looking so a James Bond type!

Favourite car of all time would have to be the Aston Martin DB10 that I got to drive for half a day (“Experience” birthday present). Comfortable, easy to drive and with unbelievable performance. But my favourite car of those I have owned is completely the other end of the spectrum – this beast: 1996 SWB Isuzu Trooper, 3.1 litre old-technology diesel. In the right gear and with the right tyres (I used to buy BFGoodrich Mud Terrains) it would climb a brick wall! Only downside was the 14mpg fuel consumption!

Yes Mo, you probably are the only one!! 🤣🤣

A guy who worked for my dad used to own one of these as he only had a motorcycle license.

He asked me to fit a new clutch to it. That was an interesting task. 🤪

And there was another lady in the village owned one.
When she was visiting my friend’s parents, a bunch of us lifted it up and put bricks under the wheels. I have no idea why
        🤔
I think we hid and waited to see her reaction lol

My ex brother in law used to work as a mechanic and had one in to fix once, the handbrake wasn’t working but everything seemed OK, they eventually worked out that when pulling up the hand brake lever it was pulling the whole back axle forward.

My mates Aston parked next to my Mini Cooper. I still have the mini, not exactly a petrol head but I always wanted one in this colour since being a kid and remembering my mates brothers original cooper in blue, used for rallying.

Nicest looking car I had was the CLK

When I retire will have to see if I can afford something for the weekend.

Had a great trip out today but we needed our beanie hats on. The car does a have heater though but no radio. My wife thinks I’m mad but it was infinitely better than staying indoors. Time for a glass of red. 😀🤓

We had a red mini estate in about 1965 and drove from london right across europe and went from zagreb through belgrade and down to dubrovnic and later went all through roumania and bulgaria. We were camping and had very little money but it was so funny especially in bulgaria and roumania, where there were few private cars at that time. They saw the red car and assumed we were communist party members . I had checked to the best of my ability the quality of the roads (no internet or phones then, in the 60’s) and on what was supposed to be the equivalent of A1 right down the road from Belgrade to Sarayevo, it was dreadful , hardly made up and bumpy . Of course the mini was low down to the ground and we had quite a few hairy moments but. I mini and a tent saw us having a wonderful time for nearly 4 weeks , learning and meeting people. I had carefully written out the cyrillic symbols to compare with the roman alphabet, because in bulgaria you only had cyrillic and had to stop and work out what direction to take from the few signposts., and of course never anyone around to ask in the middle of nowhere. Great little car but if there was any problems you had to find a pit as you couldnt get under the car too low down
